House League

House league is the next step in our soccer development program.   PUSC offers play at the U9, U11 and U15 level.   At each level, game night is split between a practice and a refereed game.  All teams are mixed sex.  U9 teams play 5 per side on a small field.  U11 teams play 8 per side.   U15 teams play 11 per side.

The 2012 House League season starts Tuesday May 22nd to Thursday July 26th and concludes with a year end tournament in August.

At the house league level, we continue our focus on individual skill development but we start to build on team play and tactics.  As our players physically and mentally develop, we continue to push them to improve their skills and understanding of the game.  Our coaches are an integral component in our development program and  the Perth United Soccer Club is committed to a coaching development program.  The soccer club runs free coaching clinics every spring with the goal of providing better instruction to our players.  Players are provided with a team jersey but they must wear shin pads and soccer socks.  Soccer shoes are strongly recommended.

Our house league program follows the Ontario Soccer Association Pyramid of Play which emphasizes individual player development and growth. House league is complemented by the club’s youth competitive program which gives players an opportunity to further develop their skills.

Players are assigned to the appropriate age group for their year of birth.  Any request to play up or down in a different age category will be evaluated after the season has started and the player’s ability has been assessed by the club head coach.
